How Young Living Lavender Essential Oil Stopped My Pain From Being Burned
Just had to share…
Last night I made the mistake of picking up a candle holder with a burning candle in it. I burned my index finger to the point of almost immediate blistering and swelling with severe pain. My husband began to freak out; I was in tears because of the pain which upset our grandchildren. This quickly became a panicked situation all around. Through my tears I immediately ran to my Young Living Essential oils bag and got out the Lavender oil while my husband was insisting we go to the emergency room. I grabbed the Lavender and just began dropping it directly on to the burn. Within no more than 4 minutes the pain was GONE! I kept a gauze pad soaked with Lavender on it under a band-aid for about an hour and the swelling subsided by at least half. Sooo grateful I knew about Young Living oils!
Update~This morning I took the bandage off…no swelling-no pain!! Burned skin feels dry and stiff but I am able to use my finger and type!! In addition to the incredible relief, our breakfast table conversation was on how much $$ was saved…ER vs bottle of Lavender!!! Wow!!
If you have children I strongly suggest you get Young Living Lavender oil…
if it can do this for me with a horrible burn from a hot flame, imagine what it would do for sunburns!

Lavender (Lavandula angustifolia) has a fresh, sweet, floral, herbaceous aroma that is soothing and refreshing. Because it is the most versatile of all essential oils, no home should be without it. Lavender is an adaptogen, and therefore can assist the body when adapting to stress or imbalances. It is a great aid for relaxing and winding down before bedtime, yet has balancing properties that can also boost stamina and energy. Therapeutic-grade lavender is highly regarded for skin and beauty. It may be used to soothe and cleanse common cuts, bruises, and skin irritations. The French scientist René Gattefossé was among the first to discover these properties when he was severely burned in a laboratory explosion. Lavender may also be used to enhance the flavor of foods. Lavender has an approximate ORAC of 3,669 (TE/L). TE/L is expressed as micromole Trolox equivalent per liter.
